The Israʾ and Miʿraj are the two parts of a Night Journey that, according to islam the prophet Muhammad took during a single night
سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَسۡرَىٰ بِعَبۡدِهِۦ لَيۡلٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ إِلَى ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡأَقۡصَا ٱلَّذِي بَٰرَكۡنَا حَوۡلَهُۥ لِنُرِيَهُۥ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِنَآۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ
In the Israʾpart of the journey, Muhammad is said to have travelled on the back of the he winged steed Buraq to Al-Aqsa where he leads other prophets in pray the next part of the journey, the Mi'raj, he ascends into the seventh heaven where he individually greets the prophets and later, speaks to God, who gives Muhammad instructions to take back to the Muslims regarding the details of prayer.
